The 2020 Cifra is a fabulous introduction to this range from Luca D'Attoma and Elena Celli. Freshly cut flowers, sweet red berry fruit, spice and mocha all grace this exquisite, mid-weight Cabernet Franc. ANTONIO GALLONI

Wonderfully mid weight, fragrant, perfumed, spiced, fruitful wine where the slightly gritty tannins tell a story that is both varietal and regional. As does the more savoury elements and those just slightly herbaceous notes that will make any Cab Franc fan smile and anyone who loves Crifra positively beam, that is the sales pitch here. This is a wine of pure pleasure, serious, yeah, but that isn't really important here. For me it is all about enjoyment with Crifra and if you love to eat and drink then this needs to be in your life. Drinking this with the right food will decrease your stress and stress is a killer, so, drinking Cifra will help you live longer. A veritable ambrosia. ROSCOE

We were first introduced to the distillery by Melbourne (and San Sebastian) bar owner, Gerald Diffey. He was fairly passionate about this range of gins he'd seen on a trip back to the UK and urged us to import some. We knew Gerald knew his stuff so we were interested but wary given the number of Gins in the market, but once we delved deeper into the operation and then tasted the range we were sold.

The distillery is a relatively new operation headed by Bob Russell and sons, Matthew and Stephen. It is unique in several senses but first off it is housed in a Victorian-era pumphouse in the now derelict Chatham Dockyard south of London. The dockyard was at one time of huge importance to the Empire building ships for the Royal Navy from Napoleonic times through to the Falklands. The pumphouse # 5 was used to pump out water for the dry docks. Russell saw an opportunity to revitalise a magnificent piece of English architecture, give some locals a job and indulge his passion for making bespoke spirits. To do this he decided to take the road less travelled in distilling and instead of buying in bulk spirit to make his Gin

Deep bright purple-red colour leading into a stylish bouquet of sweet mulberry and other berry fruits, violets and cassis, succulent and mouth-filling, with masses of fine emery-like tannins that run the length of the palate adding authority, structure, length and refreshment to the aftertaste. Concentrated, superripe blackberry, cassis and mulberry flavours; oak tucked discreetly into the background. (98) HUON HOOKE, The Real Review

Really delivers as you might expect from this excellent concentrated and powerfully frame vintage in Margaret River. It’s dominant cabernet with smaller portions of merlot, cabernet franc and malbec. Typical of this wine since switching to biodynamics, it is bright and brilliant with a nervy tense energy to drive the palate. The succulent fruit is harness by fine chalky tannins and neatly played oak of which 55% was new. A wine of extraordinary elegance and poise with a few of many decades. (98) RAY JORDAN

Needless to say, Margaret River enjoyed another superb vintage with the 2022 season. Slightly cooler, Cullen report that it was a vintage of “immense perfume and texture”. The wine is a wonderfully vibrant purple in colour. The nose gives up plums, cassis, spices including nutmeg, chocolate, mocha, bay leaves, cigar box notes – think a freshly opened box of Cohiba Siglo VI – and near perfect oak integration. This is finely balanced and exhibiting immense length on a palate that sees the emergence of aniseed, mulberries and coffee beans. An alluringly supple texture with the silkiest of tannins, though plenty of them – there really is some grip here. This will easily sail through fifteen to twenty years in a good cellar. 2023 was a brilliant year for Cabernet Sauvignon and proved perfect ripening for Cabernet Sauvignon and merlot and Cullen vineyard. Made from 100% bio-dynamically certified fruit a blend of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot,1% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Malbec has created a wine of great depth supported by delicious fine grained tannins.

The wine was matured in barriques of which 20% were new. CULLEN

A fragrant rosé where the delicate freshness of Chardonnay is completed with the fruity richness of Pinot Noir and the suave roundness of Pinot Blanc. The softly pressed grapes develop a harmonious accord in the more than 24 months of maturation on the lees. Notes of freshly picked currants and cherries, crisp apricots and strawberries, peony petals and blood orange, with a delicate nuance of fresh almond and cotton candy. The sip is lively and sunny, dynamic in the juicy freshness of pomegranate and red apple, with a subtle and vital flavour.

The world has enough bad gin. What it doesn't have is perfectly-balanced Australian craft gin blended with Yuzu juice imported directly from the Japanese highlands. With subdued juniper and mellow notes of green apple and chamomile, our Yuzu gin makes for effortless summer drinking at a park, pond, pergola or party near you.

A Mexican masterpiece of Destilado de Agave - cooked, crushed and distilled from mature blue agave grown in the lowland valleys of Jalisco. After it's smuggled into Australia, we infuse it with Pineapple and Jalapeño - because nothing is more fun and delicious than that.

This product is essentially Spring Break for your mouth, without the criminal charges and lifelong consequences.

Spirit: Salty Gin Primary Flavour: Mango Secondary Flavour: Saltbush, Samphire

The only thing more powerful than Superman is arguably Supermango. And even though this tin won’t rescue anyone from a burning building - or do anything remotely good for humanity - it doesn’t need to, because it is MANGO F*@$&NG GIN, with salt in it.

So next time you are contemplating walking into a burning building, please just drink this instead - and we can all go on to drink another day*.

Let’s be honest - cellos sound kinda nice and we all pretend to love them if we are on a  first date, but most of the time: BORING. Not any more. This cello is a disturbed, unhinged, raging hot mess of a drink. How, you ask? We infused zesty Australian blood orange peels with the dried husks of ancho chilli. It’s smokey, vibrant, zesty, bitter and sour.

It’s everything you ever wanted in a drink but were too self-concious and idiotic to ask for. So top it with Prosecco, top up your Negroni or drink it like a heathen - because this little number is music for your mouth. A symphony for your senses. A tango for your tastebuds. You get the drift....drink it.

Coffee Cocktail: Tonka Bean . Vanilla . Coffee . Orange

Iconic 80s model asked Soho Brasserie bartender, Dick Bradsell to make her a cocktail to “wake me up & f***k me up". A shot of espresso into a Black Russian recipe, created the ‘EspressoMartini’. Ours, tonka bean & fresh vanilla––think almond & baked goods–– gently supported by fragrant orange, & cold brew coffee––to wake your senses (not f**k them up).

To serve: Chill in the freezer for half an hour prior to serving. Pour over ice, garnish with an orange peel.

The Prince Wine Store's 2A range is designed to be both affordable and very drinkable!  We are proud of these wines and believe that they offer exceptional value for money in their price range.

Our sparkling shows some lovely biscuit notes with creamy fruit flavours and pleasantly soft acidity.  A great 'all occasions' style, with nice weight and balance.
 

Distilled using locally grown barley and Kentish water, this is as fresh and bright as a sunny spring day in the countryside. Elegant and refined gin, with a lovely, half floral, half herbal lift. I tasted it before learning what botanicals had been used in its production, and suspect its fragrant quality comes from the local elderflowers. MAX ALLEN

Ingredients: Italian Juniper berries, locally sourced elderflower, Bulgarian Coriander seeds, Spanish orange peel, Italian lemon peel, Guatemala green cardamom, grains of paradise from Africa, European Angelica root and Orris root, our own neutral grain spirit and Kentish chalk filtered water.
 

The 2017 Turpino is quite reticent, which is surprising given the style and personality of the year. Black cherry, pine, menthol, licorice and chocolate develop nicely over time. Readers should give the 2017 at least a few years in bottle, as it is not at all ready to drink now. The 2017 embodies the house style at Querciabella these days nicely. The wine is rich and deep, but not at all overdone. (95) ANTONIO GALLONI

40% Cabernet Franc, 40% Syrah, 20% Merlot grown in a north-facing vineyard in Grossetto in the Maremma. Biodynamically certified. Aged for 16 months in fine- and extra-fine-grained French oak barriques, of which up to 20% were new.
Lustrous deep crimson. Deep red- and dark-fruit nose with hints of dark spice. Savoury rather than sweet or ripe on the nose... Hint of earth and dried moss. Lush red and dark fruit with a muscular structure that is completely integrated with the fruit. Hedonistic, long, and with loads of appeal. Great fun to drink. (17+) WALTER SPELLER MW
