  1. Rosi Schuster Saint Laurent 2022
    Rosi Schuster Saint Laurent 2022
Brimming with red-cherry fruit and joyful freshness. Wonderful interplay of extremely fresh fruit, fine tannins and lively acidity on the barely medium-bodied palate. Excellent balance at the delicate and animating, long finish. Amazing for just 11% alcohol! From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold. STUART PIGOTT, JamesSuckling.com

Sankt Laurent is a naturally reductive grape variety and as such Hannes has greatly reduced the time this ‘entry’ to the Sankt Laurent wines of the estate spends on skins in order to preserve the vibrancy of this native variety that is directly related to Pinot Noir (recent DNA analysis suggest it is the offspring of Pinot Noir and potentially Savagnin).

Spending 5-8 days on skins during fermentation in tank before being aged in a mixture of 2/3 big old casks & 1/3 inox, this is a wonderfully fresh, vibrant and aromatic expression of Sankt Laurent that is built for a chill before drinking with gusto. Hannes notes that 2022 was a great vintage for Sankt Laurent and if this release is anything to go on we cannot wait to see the old vine Village releases when they are bottled a little further down the line

  2. Rosi Schuster Blaufrankisch 2021
    Rosi Schuster Blaufrankisch 2021
What an exciting interplay between black-forest berry aromas and balsamic character. Astonishing concentration for an entry-level wine and the tannins are really fine, too. Focused, long and straight finish with very positive firmness. Plenty of mineral, cardamon and clove complexity is married to very sophisticated freshness. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold. (94) STUART PIGOTT jamessuckling.com.

A blend of grapes from parcels located in Rust, Müllendorf & Zagersdorf with the main backbone coming from vineyards found close to the winery in Sankt Margarethen with the idea being to represent the tapestry of villages, vineyards & soils of the Burgenland. Handpicked, naturally fermented & matured in large format old oak for around 12-14 months before bottling un-fined and un-filtered.
