  1. Ogier Le Temps Est Venu Cotes du Rhone Blanc 2022
Ogier Le Temps Est Venu Cotes du Rhone Blanc 2022
Always a lovely wine and the 2022 has an extra level of freshness and crunchy snap. A blend of grenache blanc, roussanne and a good dollop of viognier. Stone fruits, some quartz mineral notes that thread through the mid palate and sprinkle white pepper to finish. Some slippery textural elements provide length and its cut nicely by a streak crunch acid.

  2. Casa Rojo Ribera del Duero Clon 98 2020
Casa Rojo Ribera del Duero Clon 98 2020

100% Tinto Fino, from the area of Castrillo de la Vega, located at an average altitude of 800 meters, in the province of Burgos. The grapes come from old vineyards between 26 and 50 years old, all owned by viticulturists in the area. Fermented and aged (12 months) in concrete tanks.

Heading towards a more black fruit profile with a black currant, creme de mure thing going on and a hint bitcumen and turned earth. Mid-weight in style with nice concentration and push from the darker fruit profile. It delivers plenty of concentrated fruit but does it all with bounce and vibrancy at the same time.

  3. Coursodon St Joseph Blanc 'Le Paradis Saint Pierre' 2022
Coursodon St Joseph Blanc 'Le Paradis Saint Pierre' 2022
90% Marsanne and 10% Roussanne from 50-80 year old vines from Paradis and Saint-Joseph granite sites raised in 10% new oak.
The 2022 Saint Joseph Le Paradis Saint Pierre Blanc is even better, and it's up with the finest Saint Joseph Blancs I've ever had. Quince, honeyed minerality, toasted spice, and green almond-like nuances all define the nose, and its more Hermitage Blanc than Saint Joseph Blanc with its medium to full-bodied richness, gorgeous overall balance, and incredible length. It has some background oak and will benefit from a year or two of bottle age, but I suspect it will have over a decade of prime drinking. Don't miss this beauty. (97) JEB DUNNUCK

  4. Yeringberg Marsanne Roussanne 2021
    Yeringberg Marsanne Roussanne 2021

62% Marsanne and 38% Roussanne. Vines planted 1973-85. The 2 varieties were picked & made separately, blended just before bottling.”

Apple, lime, apricot, ginger and honey, chamomile tea and cinnamon. It’s nutty and savoury, white fleshed fruit with a juicy peach and apricot richness, dusty and spicy, a fine chalkiness to it, a real white Rhône mouth-perfume about it, honey and almond, with a long rich and grainy finish. Terrific wine. GARY WALSH, The Wine Front

  5. Place of Changing Winds Harcourt Marsanne Roussanne 2022
Place of Changing Winds Harcourt Marsanne Roussanne 2022
This is such a wonderful wine its success is in its concentration of flavour and texture (fleshy and chalky at the same time), its vivid sense of hallmarks of the variety (bitter lemon, preserved lemon, herbal detail, minerality) And a general sense of energy. It sits at medium weight. Its stains the palette gently, its perfume is inviting and ultra-pleasing, that it drinks with such ease belies its complexity. Wickedly enjoyable. MIKE BENNIE, www.thewinefront.com

  8. Yeringberg Marsanne Roussanne 2022
    Yeringberg Marsanne Roussanne 2022
A blend of 60/40% marsanne/roussanne, picked three days apart, fermented together in tank, then aged in old barrels for 10 months. A bright green gold. Aromas of ripe pears and apricots sit alongside some lemon conserve, pink grapefruit and orange blossom scents. It’s a compelling mix that flows through onto the palate, which is gently textured, saline, and very well structured. I really like the touch of the grip on the finish too, and as good as this is now, this will age gracefully over the next five to seven years at least. (97) PHILIP RICH, www.winecompanion.com

  9. Yeringberg Marsanne Rousanne 2016
    Yeringberg Marsanne Rousanne 2016
Marsanne 59%, Roussanne 41%. Our white Rhône blend is a subtle wine that displays restraint and quiet power. It starts subdued, with hints of pear, honeysuckle, lanolin and quince. With air it expands, building depth and breadth, showing notes of honey, lemon and jasmine. On the palate, it's both taut and well rounded, savoury and subtly pithy, but also spicy and gently viscous. It's a fabulous food wine that manages to complement both delicate and more fully flavoured dishes and, unusually, satisfies both white and red wine drinkers. Full of promise, the 2016 is certainly enjoyable now, and will continue to evolve over a number of years. SANDRA DE PURY

A 59/41% split, spends 10 months on lees in seasoned barrels and it's a mighty wine for its depth and precision. Flavour wise, it's perfectly proportioned with whispers of stone fruit, honeysuckle, creamed honey and fine acidity. 95 points. JAMES HALLIDAY

An exotic nose showing spicy loquat, dried cloves, white peppers, sage, green apple ice cream and even some camembert. Full-bodied and very layered with pears and peach pith, which are really intensely flavored. Long and very spicy on the finish. Drink now. Screw cap. 94 points JAMES SUCKLING

  10. Sierra de Tolono La Dula Rioja Garnacha 2022
Sierra de Tolono La Dula Rioja Garnacha 2022
I've always had a soft spot for her Garnacha, and the 2021 La Dula, with its floral, perfumed and expressive nose could be the finest vintage of this wine. It was produced with grapes from small ancient plots in Rivas de Tereso and matured in amphora and foudre for eight months. It's open, showy and terribly elegant, super young and fruit-driven, reminiscent of fresh grapes, not terribly complex but very pleasant and easy to drink. It has a medium-bodied palate with 13.5% alcohol and a serious and chalky texture. It should develop more complexity with time in bottle. 6,500 bottles produced. It was bottled in August 2024. It's a bargain. LUIS GUTIERREZ, The Wine Advocate
