From 18 parcels in vineyards situated in Brochon and the northern sector of Gevrey with a few to the east of D974 that average approximately 75 years of age; these include Les Corvées, Reniard, Jouise, Sylvie, Champs Perriers, Carré Rougeaud, Combe de Lavaut, Fourneau, Murots, Billard and Creux Brouillard

The 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin Mes Favorites Vieilles Vignes opens with gorgeous aromatics. Exotic and yet also quite delicate, the 2022 has so much to offer. Kirsch, sweet red cherry, rose petal, blood orange and spice. In many vintages Mes Favorites can be quite powerful, but judging from this barrel sample, the 2022 looks to be on the delicate side. The last of this fruit, from parcels that are as much as 75 years old, did not come in until 10/15, very late by the standards of the year. ANTONIO GALLONI, Vinous.com

OUTSTANDING TOP VALUE. The wood treatment remains subtle though by no means imperceptible on the spicier aromas of mostly red berries. The richer and more concentrated medium-bodied flavors possess good power on the more complex, firmer and impressively long finish. This is an excellent, and age worthy, Gevrey villages that is worth checking out. BURGHOUND

OUTSTANDING. A subtle but not invisible application of wood sets off equally fresh aromas of red currant, earth and a whisper of the sauvage. There is a beguiling sense of energy to the delicious if not particularly dense medium weight flavors that retain good detail on the notably more complex, structured and lingering finale that displays better overall balance. This Bourgogne rouge comes from Gevrey Chambertin vineyards and hits above its level

The 2022 Bourgogne Rouge Les Pince Vin is a beautifully supple, easygoing red to drink over the next handful of years. Understated and gracious, the 2022 is so classy. Bright, red-toned fruit, white pepper and lifted floral notes all lift from the glass. This finishes with lovely energy and class. Jean-Luc Burguet plans to give this wine a bit more time in barrel than has been the norm in recent years. ANTONIO GALLONI, Vinous.com

A ripe and fresh nose combines notes of various red berries with plenty of earth character. There is good vibrancy to the very supple middleweight flavors that tighten up on the youthfully austere, dusty and mildly warm finale. BURGHOUND

The 2022 Vosne-Romanée 1er Les Rouges des Dessus 1er Cru is mysterious and complex. Scents of pipe tobacco, cedar, crushed rocks, spice and red-toned fruit emanate from the glass. There is a brooding quality in the 2022 that I find quite appealing. It works rather well with the wine’s textural depth and overall feel. This is promising. ANTONIO GALLONI, Vinous.com

There is enough reduction to suppress all but subtle spice wisps. The gorgeously textured and strikingly delineated if not especially concentrated medium-bodied flavors exude a fine bead of minerality on the caressing yet powerful, even robust, youthfully austere finish. This is lovely but I underscore that it's going to need at least some patience as it's very tightly wound today. BURGHOUND

Medium red with a tinge of purple and a complex foresty bouquet of sour cherry, undergrowth and leaf-litter, with a hint of five spice. Fragrant and lifted aromas of Packham pear, baked apple, melon skin, white-stone fruit and sweet spice. Fleshy, textured, bright and crunchy. There's a lovely drive of pear, nectarine and some textured, grippy phenolics. Long and very satisfying THE REAL REVIEW

This is a punter friendly wine if ever there was one. It's fruity, it's soft, it's delicious. Sweet pear and red apple flavour do all the work, and very pleasant work it is too. This wine is simple in the most untaxing and pleasurable of ways. CAMPBELL MATTINSON

A zesty wine with notes of nashi pear, Jazz apple and fresh quinces. A hint of loquat and yellow melon. Lemon skin citrus and leisurely flow to the acidity. SPECIAL VALUE. A four-vineyard, six-clone blend; 20% wholes bunches, 15% new oak. A bright crimson red. A lifted bouquet redolent of summer red fruits, poached rhubarb, rose bush and white pepper. The energetic palate is light to medium bodied with the wine's fine-grained tannins and bright acidity making for a delicious and refreshing mouthful. Gosh this is an attractive wine. So many violets and indeed so redolent generally of a garden in bloom. Blue and red berried fruit flavours come melted with potpourri, sweet spice, leaf matter and twigs. Fruit and florals are the drivers but then the extras are tucked within. Mint and blood orange characters are here too, along with a decent crack of tannin. This is obviously meant to be consumed in its youth but even so, a quick double-decant does it a world of good. The philosophy is all about precision, freshness, and purity. Mulline sources fruit from carefully selected vineyards, many of which are farmed sustainably or organically, and crafts wines with a light touch.

It’s cool, it’s succulent, it’s got some slurp to it too. Purple fruits, mulberry, dark cherry, sour and tart pops of pomegranate jewels and a wash of alpine herbs and light white pepper over it all. It goes the distance, it feels svelte and coils serpent-like through the palate. A savoury undertow of brambles and earth also there. It does many, many things, and just feels right and righteous overall. Oh boy. (95) MIKE BENNIE

2022 - There's an air of serious intent to this wine. It's both inherently complex and impressively powered, its array of fruit, stalk and spice notes ricocheting from one corner of your mouth to another. Glowing purple, an exuberant nose, with abundant juicy dark berry fruit energy. All destemmed. A large jug of this would go down handsomely of a summer's evening. Excellent fruit-acid balance, some blackcurrants at the back. Lovely. JASPER MORRIS MW

Deep colour, a glossy purple. Ripe, plush and fruitful. Nice undertow of spice, but the array of dark fleshed fruit is what come across most prominently, it's well rounded and fulsome but the underpinned by fresh acidity and fine, sweet tannins. Nice wine. Some airy, spring forest aromas, little poke and prod of minerality, a subtly sappy feel. Yeah, nice wine! ROSCOE

The Collottes have been grape growers in Marsannay for four generations, but it wasn’t until 1981 that a young, 16 year-old Philippe Collotte bottled the first wine under the name of Domaine Collotte. He subsequently leased some mature vineyards of about 40 years of age in both Gevrey-Chambertin and Chambolle-Musigny, to further expand the domaine’s repertoire.

In 2013 Philippe was joined by his daughter Isabelle, who had just completed her viticulture and oenology studies at the Lycée Viticole de Beaune. Whilst Isabelle focusses particularly on the production of the domaine’s white wines, there is no doubt that her addition to the team has helped refine the quality of the wines across the board.

100% de-stemmed with week long cold soak at 10c gradually raising temperature with pigeage for first half of ferment following by remontage for second half before pressing and ageing in 25% new oak for top reds. Rousseau Allegro barrels used for all wines to allow each terroir to express themselves consistently.

The family's winemaking history goes back centuries, but it was Vincent Girardin who really put the name on the international map during the late 20th century, gaining a reputation for crafting expressive, polished wines — particularly from the Côte de Beaune, with a focus on Puligny-Montrachet, Meursault, and Chassagne-Montrachet.

Today, under the guidance of a new generation and a talented team led by Eric Germain (long-time winemaker), Maison Vincent Girardin continues to produce elegant, terroir-driven wines. The philosophy is built around respect for the vineyard, using sustainable farming practices and minimal intervention in the winery to let each site speak clearly.

The nose is vibrant and alluring, revealing aromas of red cherries, raspberries, and wild strawberries, layered with delicate floral notes of violets, subtle earthy nuances, and a hint of spice. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and elegantly textured, with silky tannins and bright acidity enhancing the flavors of juicy red berries, a touch of licorice, and a refined mineral edge. The finish is smooth, fresh, and well-balanced, making it a versatile and food-friendly choice.

Olivier Morin took over the family business in 1992, after a first life spent in the music world. The 14ha domaine is currently undergoing organic certification. When he took over, his parents were making just their three appellations: Aligoté, plus Chitry

of both colours. The continuity of this approach is reflected in Olivier's 'Constance' cuvées, to which he has added an old-vine Bourgogne Chitry white called Olympe, after the original owner of the vines, and a single vineyard red, Vau de Puits. Olivier Morin likes a long slow fermentation for

Opulent aromas of rose petals, smoke and crushed raspberries mark this wine from the La Bohème Vineyard, planted in 1985. Sweet black raspberries, cloves, and green tea leaves are met by sandalwood and chicory root. The structure is impressive, and the fruit goes on seemingly forever. CLIVE PURSEHOUSE, Decanter

The 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Lavaux Saint-Jacques emerges from a tiny parcel planted in 1949. Dark and complex in its first impression, the 2022 possesses notable fruit purity and a good bit of supporting structure, despite its deceptively mid-weight feel. OUTSTANDING. Here too firm reduction dominates the fruit at present. Otherwise, the markedly earthy big-bodied and almost painfully intense flavors flash imposing power on the driving and palate staining finish that delivers excellent length. Like the Les Rouges, this is quite firmly structured and a wine that is going to need at least some cellaring first. BURGHOUND

From the organically farmed Vecino Vineyard, this is a 50/50 blend of Pommard and Dijon 115 clones. 70% whole cluster.

Each year the names changes, though the wine is fairly consistent. This year it is called The Center of Gravity.

This is the first wine to display much wood influence and there is a mentholated top note to the peppery red and dark pinot fruit aromas. Once again there is very good volume and excellent vibrancy to the sleek and delicious medium weight flavors that display good balance on the sappy and dusty finish. This has enough development potential to reward up to a decade of cellaring.  BURGHOUND
