Pretty aromas of mostly red berries and earth give way to rich, succulent and suave flavors that possess good energy and just enough structure to warrant a year of keeping BURGHOUND

Another stellar instalment of this perennial over-performer. Pure red berry and cranberry aromas come dusted with spice, referencing the vintage’s best attributes which, at its best, is red fruited and full of spice, florals and energy. On the palate there's the same red fruit compote vibrancy but as it hits the middle palate it spreads out with a sweeter feel and broadens to create mouth coating weight and controlled richness. The thing that really distinguishes this from your average Bourgogne is the turned earth terroir that rides atop the whole thing, making this look way more like a village level wine than a Bourgogne. I could drink a bucket of this! MICHAEL MCNAMARA
