Richter Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Kabinett 2021The 2021 Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Kabinett offers a clear, precise and pure, lovely slate-driven bouquet with citric fruit and some cassis and gooseberry aromas. Crystalline, linear and fresh on the palate, this is an elegant, lush and silky-textured, precise and almost sharp but also round and finely sweet Kabinett from the Himmelreich that shows red and black currant notes on the aftertaste. A gorgeous Kabinett that has to be aged for 10-15 years. Sourced from 80-year-old vines on pure gray slate. Bottled with a spectacular total acidity of 12 grams per liter, but you don't feel the grams of acidity; and believe me, it's serious but balanced by extract and almost 50 grams per liter of residual sugar. 7.5% stated alcohol. Fio 'Piu Piu' Riesling Pet Nat NV 750ml100% Riesling using native yeast fermentation 50% in stainless, 50% in a mix of Fuder and Doppelfuder from the 1940s & 1960s. A pét nat made from Riesling, but from multiple vintages. Wines are stored in the coldest part of the cellars then blended as needed and moved to warmer areas to encourage secondary fermentation.

Copper Rivet Dockyard Son of a Gun 500ml 47.4% alcDescribed as a "cask-finished English grain spirit" because it hasn't spent enough time in barrel to be designated as whisky (there is a whisky in the works, due for release this year), this has just the faintest hint of pale golden colour and is bursting with ethereal aromas of sweet, freshly milled malted barley, a touch of honey, some lightly toasted linseed and sesame.
