This Godello comes from old vineyards planted right next to the Sil river, in the Seadur village (Ourense), cultivated in slate and decomposed granitic soil. Destemming and short maceration (>4 hours). Soft pressing and static racked of the must in preparation for a slow temperature controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks.

Translucent and bright pale yellow. In the noseis intense, predominant aromas of ripe apple, water pear, white flesh peach, framed by fennel and anise. In the palate is powerful, voluminous, as well as refreshing with a silky and pleasant finish.

Etiqueta Ambar uses grapes from vineyards that are over 40 years' old, mostly in Cambados and Meao in the Salnas Valley on sand and granite soils. Almost Riesling like in terms of structure and acidity (Diego Rios worked in the Mosel Valley) this is stony and intense,with layers of lime cordial, green apple and lemon zest and impressive extract. 2024-29. TIM ATKIN MW

The 2023 Albariño Granbazán Etiqueta Ámbar, sourced from Val do Salnés, undergoes a few hours of skin contact before fermenting and aging eight months on lees. Yellow in color, it presents aromas of white peach, orange blossom and candied citrus. The palate is dry, light and delicately fresh with a slight spritz adding texture. Delicate and pretty, going from fennel flowers to lemon verbena to lemongrass to lemon sherbet. Gentle but surprisingly deep plashy pools of acidity. Orange citrus and tamarind at the core, that over 10 days softened to buttery saffron. Like all the really good, complex Albariños, it has high-frequency intensity. It feels as if its heart has been hand-drawn with a soft graphite pencil. After being open for days, it just finished on peaches and apricots, as if giving up pretending to be about anything else. ANDRE CLOUET (9/10) 

Bouzy and Ambonnay are the epicentre of pinot noir in Champagne, and the Clouet family is the priviledged custodian of eight hectares of estate vines in the best middle slopes of both villages.  These are rich and concentrated expressions of pinot noir, wines of deep complexity, multi faceted interest and engaging character, yet with remarkable restraint and sense of control.  Recent tastings confirm my impression that this small and relatively unknown grower ranks high among Champagne's finest practitioners of pinot noir - and expresses one of the best value of all.

Throughout its history, the house of Cocchi has periodically produced alternative varieties of its Americano aperitif wine.  Here the wine base is a blend of two aromatic varietals such as Brachetto and Malvasia famous for imparting notes of wild rose and summer berries. These are blended with herbs, fruit and spices, most notably gentian, cinchona and citrus like for the Bianco classic version, but with an extra addition of Ginger and rose petals. Enjoy with soda or tonic and a zest of grapefruit. A Royale sumptuous edition can be made topping it with Sparkling Brachetto d’Acqui DOCG.

Cocchi Americano means much more to Asti than a simple wine made with the infusion of herbs and spices. An aperitif par excellence. Cocchi's is widely regarded as the original Aperitivo Americano, and has been made continuously since 1891 using only natural ingredients. To aromatise the white wine a secret blend of herbs and spices, to name a few, gentian,  cinchona and bitter orange peels, are added to the wine base which is then steeped over a period of time.

In recent years Cocchi Americano has become a cult product in the circle of best sommelier and bartenders of the world. The complexity of this product is the first thing that surprises you. On the nose you initially detect notes of orange zest, orange flower and elderflower before more mature aromas of baked apple and pear drops emerge. Your palate will immediately appreciate the bitter/sweet balance as more bitter notes mingle with honey and citrus flavors, mainly orange and lemon zest. More wine-like characteristics become evident as the flavors develop into a long, vibrant finish, with the bitter and sweet notes remaining fresh until the end.
Serve chilled with ice, a twist of orange peel and a splash of soda.

Bright straw. Vibrant aromas of lemon pith, pear skin and honeysuckle, with a chalky topnote.  Dry, sharply focused lemon and lime flavors become deeper with air and pick up brioche and ginger nuances.  Firm, chewy and dry, finishing with very good clarity and stony persistence. JOSH RAYNOLDS

The Delamotte NV Brut blends approximately 55% Chardonnay with 35% Pinot Noir and 10% Pinot Meunier. It is clear, round and spicy on the predominantly fruity and vinous nose with its delicate chalk and hazelnut flavors. On the palate this is a lithe, finessed, fresh and elegant Brut with good structure and a pure, salty-mineral and cleansing finish. A complex, reliable Champagne that would show well in all occasions thanks to its freshness and class. Drawing on all three grapes (chardonnay, pinot noir and pinot meunier), this has a complex grilled-nut and autolysis character overlayed across red berries and citrus fruits. Definitely a lot of reserve wine character here. The palate delivers lemons, grapefruit, peaches and mangoes in a refreshingly pure, fleshy style. One of the great signatures of the region, its calligraphy flowing with elegance, panache and balance, the last reflected in the equal proportions of the three great varieties of Champagne. A flamboyant straw gold lustre, and an immediately seductive nose, encyclopaedic in its indulgence. the wine wafts from the glass with an alluring bouquet of green apple, brioche, pastry cream and buttered toast. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, impressively layered and complete, with a crisp but fleshy core of fruit, a youthfully frothy mousse and bright acids, concluding with a delicately chalky finish. This is one of the very finest—as well as among the most consistent—non-vintage brut bottlings from any of the Grandes Marques, and comes very warmly recommended. Equal parts Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Meunier. It pours a bright silver straw hue and is fresh on opening, with a floral perfume of white flowers, fresh pear, and fresh almond. Medium-bodied, it’s attractive and approachable, with juicy peach fruit that fills the palate, although it stays refined, with a pinpoint mousse and a clean finish. It is a lovely entry to the range to enjoy now or over the next 6-8 years, and I love this as an aperitif style. JEB DUNNUCK
