From one of Mâcon's very best sites. Les Quarts is sectioned into four lieux-dits Haut, Bas, Le Clocheton and Les Quarts Touches. This is a blend of those younger parcels which do not make it into La Soufrandière's Les Quarts cuvée.

OUTSTANDING, TOP VALUE. This too displays a background touch of reduction that doesn't completely mask the ripe aromas that blend white and yellow peach, citrus confit and a pretty floral element. On the palate there is excellent verve to the succulent and dense medium weight flavors that possess an appealing texture while exhibiting first-rate length. This is lovely and a wine that should drink well young as well as with 4 to 7 years of keeping Recommended. BURGHOUND

…This has a winsome nose with yellow plum, brioche and hints of grilled walnuts in the background giving way to a touch of smoke. The palate is tensile and bright with a wonderful thread of acidity, orange zest and hints of mango towards the long and tender finish. Excellent. NEAL MARTIN
