Hazelnuts, grapefruit pith and spiced nectarines mix with crushed rock aromas on the nose. It screams white Burgundy from the get-go. The palate is a flavoursome flow of stonefruits, citrus and nuts, underpinned by a nervy line of minerality. Its generous core is reined in by cage of chewy phenolics and a fresh line of acidity, signing off with saline twist. It's a very delicious Macon that hits well above its pricepoint. Note on 2022 release
It has a very elegant and precise bouquet, which offers subtle leesy scents. The palate is underpinned by a fine line of acidity, concentrated yet tensile, with fresh pear and lemon thyme notes on the finish. As good a Mâcon-Villages, you will find any year. NEAL MARTIN
