The 'MVSA' is made from the tradition Cava varieties Macabeo, Xarello and Parellada at the respective ratio's of 35:30:35%, the wine has seen 24 months of lees ageing and bears 9.5 g/l of residual sugar, but has the acidity to clean up the tail; it is a stylish and satisfying wine of great value. It is pale in colour with plenty of bubbles showing aromas of apples and pears, toasty bread and white flowers balancing the right amount of bubbles and acid. There is pure apple on the palate with minerals and lemon sherbet on the finish; it is a very cooling and refreshing summer drink. PWS

László Mészáros makes this late-harvest wine from mainly botrytised Furmint grapes (along with small amounts of Zéta and Hárslevelu), which have shrivelled to around half of their original volume. Termed Késói Szüretelésú in Hungarian, there is no berry-by-berry selection here as there is for Aszú wines. Instead, selected botrytised bunches and grape clusters were harvested and macerated briefly before being pressed. The wine was racked into used French oak (including barrels from Disznóko's sister property, Château Suduiraut in Sauternes), where it matured for six months.

The short aging has kept Furmint's pungent and fruity aromas and flavours intact and guarded its energy and freshness. The palate has a fine balance of candied fruit, honeycomb sweetness and acacia. This wine has residual sugar of around 130 g/L, which is well-balanced by punchy acidity and gentle grip, giving a vibrant and modern expression of Tokaji.

The balance and freshness mean you don't necessarily have to serve this with dessert. In fact, in Hungary, this kind of wine is often consumed as an aperitif or with goat’s cheese or pâté on toast.

Complex floral and citrus aromas introduce this charmer with pastry and yeasty notes in support. With input from reserve wines – 2017 and ' 18 reserve chardonnay and pinot noir, aged in old barrels – the palate delves into mandarin, cumquat, nougat and toast, in harmony with a surge in tangy acidity. A fragrant rosé where the delicate freshness of Chardonnay is completed with the fruity richness of Pinot Noir and the suave roundness of Pinot Blanc. The softly pressed grapes develop a harmonious accord in the more than 24 months of maturation on the lees. Notes of freshly picked currants and cherries, crisp apricots and strawberries, peony petals and blood orange, with a delicate nuance of fresh almond and cotton candy. The sip is lively and sunny, dynamic in the juicy freshness of pomegranate and red apple, with a subtle and vital flavour.

This golden-colored Tokaji has aromas of raw honey, apricot blossom, pear and baked apple tart. Silky smooth upon entry, it offers flavors of baked apples, wildflower honey, canned pears and apricot.
