Black jelly beans, cherry, dried herbs, raw almond and quite the classic Negroamaro signature here really. It’s medium-bodied, juicy cherry flavour, some bitter chocolate, a little grip and grain to tannin, a little bit rustic, but nice and honest in that way. Gives the sparkling wines of the world a noblesse, while bringing out their best of their regional character. Especially for: Champagne, Sparkling Wines, Prosecco, Spumante and Cava.

The idea behind 'Balance' was to design a glass that would bring out the best in new-wave artisanal/low-intervention wines that emphasise texture and structure as much as fruit. Michael Hinterleitner, whose family owns Zalto, explains, "We have been testing different prototypes for two years to create a glass that harmonises certain aspects of wines not often found in conventional winemaking."

So, after two years of intensive tastings and discussions with winegrowers and sommeliers, 'Balance' was born. Zalto recommends the glass for deep, complex whites-Chardonnay and full-bodied Riesling, for example-to fully show their depth and subtlety while harmonising aromas and flavours without concentrating one element. They also recommend the glass for complex sparkling wines, skin-macerated whites and reds made with high proportions of bunches.
