Thymiopoulos Xinomavro Young Vine 2022A blend of higher altitude parcels around the village of Fytia and the warmer, lower elevation parcels
adjacent to the village of Trilofos. Vines are young and non-irrigated at an altitude 200-500 metres on Schist, granite and limestone. Naoussa’s region warm continental climate with moderate rainfall throughout the year. Cooling winds from Vermio mountain are crucial for the quality of the grapes.
Grapes are hand-picked, 75% destemmed, macerated for 12-15 days and fermented in stainless steel tanks for 3 months and 8 months in concrete tanks.
Fresh strawberries, cherries, and raspberries, potentially with hints of wild herbs, spices, and even a touch of floral elements weaving themselves in too. The palate offers a juicy and refreshing experience, with bright red and black fruits dominating. The villages of Naoussa offer a most interesting diversification on their hilly terrain in terms of altitude, slope, soil structure, orientation etc. These conditions shape an intriguing mixture of meso-climates.

Nico Lazaridi Cavalieri Xinomavro 2021The grapes come from selected old vines over 40 years old, giving low yield per hectare with good concentration. Classic red vinification and malolactic fermentation. The wine matures in 500L oak barrels for 24 months and then additional 6 months in ideal cellar conditions.
Pale red colour. Complex nose with aromas reminiscent of ripe red fruits, notes of spicy spices, herbs, tomato leaves and cedar. Full mouth with high acidity and tannins with a pleasant long aftertaste.

Benanti Etna Bianco 2023Etna in north-east Sicily is better known for its reds than whites, but the best examples of the latter, made from the local grape Carricante, can be spectacular, somewhere between a Burgundian Aligoté and a top Soave in style. This is totally unoaked, but draws richness from six months of lees' ageing. Stony and intense, with notes of lime, fennel and lemon juice, steely, palate-cleansing acidity and a mineral tang.
