You have to admire the complexity on offer here. It’s cohesive but it’s all happening. It tastes of chicory, twigs, orange peel, black cherries and foresty, mint-like notes, the finish and the tannin then infused with peppercorns and more. You get more than your money’s worth. Fruit is 60/35/5% Ballarat/Geelong/Henty. Matured in French barriques and puncheons (10% new). Medium crimson red, this is an excellent introduction to Provenance's range of 2022 pinots. Brambly red fruits intermingle with a little potpourri while the palate is flavourful, gently textured and pliant, persistent tannins in support. Curlewis Bel Sel Syrah 2022A true cool climate shiraz. Herbaceous aromas with a scent of blackberry and blue fruits, a light spray of black pepper and woody spices. The palate has a core of ripe blackberry fruit and concentrated redder berry fruit flavours. The blend of various barrels makes for a complex fruit palate with the pepper noted on the nose adding an attractive feature on the palate with the addition of woody spice and warm oak. The tannins finish with a detailed acid play that is flavourful and interesting to drink.

Clyde Park Moranghurk Pinot Noir 2023The Moranghurk Vineyard was established in '97 at Lethbridge in the Moorabool Valley. Made with 100% whole berries and matured in seasoned oak. Bright crimson, this pretty, perfumed wine exhibits aromas of red fruits, rose petals and some fresh mint leaves. The light-to-medium-bodied palate is vibrant, juicy and long. The Moranghurk vineyard was established in 1997 by Ross and Liz Wilkie on their beautiful 459ha property in the Lethbridge district of the Moorabool Valley, Geelong. The wines from this site showcase the outstanding varietal character and flavour of the region, whilst being distinctively Moranghurk. Fermented in open fermenters and hand plunged twice daily.
