Godin et Filles takes the Chardonnay for this Brut Blanc de Blancs from their vines near the family home in the village of Berru. The little known sub-region of Mont de Berru is to the East of Reims and focuses on Chardonnay due to its chalky soils.
It is aged in the cellar for 5 years prior to release so has all of the complexity you expect from a Godin cuvée. Wonderfully elegant white flowers, green apples, ripe pear and citrus with a lovely chalky minerality. 8g/L dosage.
