Clear pale colour. This has energy on the nose without much detail yet. Good clean fruit builds steadily, white orchard fruit, some weight. Generous and with excellent length, the white flesh keeps building, accompanied by adequate acidity. JASPER MORRIS MW

2024 - The 2024 Meursault Les Perrières Dessous 1er Cru, which comes from a 0.24-hectare parcel bordering the Puligny appellation, has a very backward, almost "grumpy" bouquet at the moment, annoyed at being disturbed so young. Very stony and austere, this will definitely require bottle age. The palate is well balanced and comes to life on the entry with citrus peel, spice box and white pepper notes, even a touch of fennel that underlies a seam of crushed stone. It gains intensity towards the finish as if compensating for the muted aromatics with a very persistent aftertaste. Again, you have to be patient but it will be worth waiting for. NEAL MARTIN
