This is a fine set of 2022 Barolos from Alberto Alessandria. Alessandria gave the 2022s 24 months in oak. Alessandria is one of the movers and shakers of Piedmont’s younger generation.

The 2022 Barolo del Comune di La Morra is a gorgeous entry-level wine, especially within the context of the year. Aromatic, bright and vibrant, the 2022 is all charm. Blood orange, cinnamon, new leather and cedar give this mid-weight, ethereal Barolo tons of charm. Fine tannins shape the long, linear finish. ANTONIO GALLONI
