The 2009 from Clouet impresses for its heady and inviting array of characters. Plenty of fresh baked buttery brioche aromas are prominent but don't overwhelm the bold fruit that tumbles out of the glass in sultry waves. It has this really creamy, rich and intense palate that opens across the palate with real force and presence while retaining key freshness and drinkability. This really does epitomise the Clouet style, power and drive with lovely clarity and an easy accessible feel. Nicely played. ROSCOE
