Yarra Peaks Primavera Vineyard Chardonnay 2022

Lou Primavera established his 30 acre vineyard in 2001 in Woori Yallock. From early in the vineyards life, Steve Flamsteed saw the potential in the site and it soon became an integral part of Giant Steps suite of single vineyard wines. The Primavera vineyard today is considered one of the great vineyard sites in the Upper Yarra, highly prized for the unique quality and expression of it's Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
For many years Dave Mackintosh (of Arfion fame) made the wines for Lou under the Yarra Peaks label, however after a couple of missed vintages (due to low yields and fruit obligations to Giant Steps) and Dave bro's return to the land of the long white cloud, the '22's mark the return of (but sadly the last of) wines made under Yarra Peaks label, with Giant Steps initiating a lease of the entire vineyard from the 2023 vintage.
