    (review from a previous vintage)

Bone dry (of course), fresh and elegant on the palate, this is an impressively delicate and filigreed Champagne to be enjoyed as a still wine rather than a fizz. The finish is long, clear, dry and well-structured (even with fine tannins) and reveals discreet salinity. In fact, Fidèle drinks like a Burgundy-inspired Coteaux Champenois with very fine but not effervescent bubbles… STEPHAN REINHARDT, the wine advocate

A wine with a bright but rich liquid-tenor timbre. Oranges, orange peel, orange pips. An underlying hazelnut and pine-nut nuttiness that leaves lingering traces of cumin and Ibérico pork fat and hemp-seed oil. Hemp leaf too. There's a dramatic, fragrant and peach-sweet oiliness to this wine. Strikingly unusual, complex, exciting and with a Verdicchio-like bitterness it's really vinous. It's compelling - it keeps drawing me back. TAMLYN CURRIN, jancisrobinson.com
