Viberti Barolo Buon Padre 2021
DOZEN: $1,188.00 or $99.00 each
Barolo Buon Padre, first crafted in 1923 by Giovanni Viberti for guests of the family’s historic “Il Buon Padre” inn, remains a true symbol of the Langhe. Sourced from a blend of renowned crus including Bricco delle Viole, San Pietro, and Ravera, it captures a perfect harmony of structure, elegance, and longevity. Faithful to its traditional roots, the wine is aged in large, untoasted barrels and matured extensively in bottle, offering a classic Barolo profile that reflects nearly a century of history and the enduring spirit of the Viberti family.
Hand-harvested in 20 kg crates with each vineyard vinified separately. After destemming, alcoholic fermentation and maceration on the skins lasted from 10 to a maximum of 16 days, depending on the parcel, partly in submerged-cap rotary fermenters and partly in emerged-cap fermenters. Aged for 36 months in untoasted French oak truncated cone-shaped vats, from 25 to 50 hectoliters, depending on the cru. After aging, the individual wines are blended to create the final cuvée, an expression of the balance and complexity of Barolo Buon Padre.
