Sourced from a family owned hillside vineyard on the western side of the appellation Fleurie is one of the top crus in Beaujolais. sourced. Exposure on these steep slopes face south and southeast with soils of loose clay and limestone. His Crus drink like good Burgundy and treated as such so its no surprise. Blast of red fruit and floral, violet scents complemented by a zesty mineral top-note. There is lovely focus to the raspberry, bitter cherry and lavender pastille flavours. Its buoyant and crunchy carrying the lively fruit falvouers across the palate. Manages to be both concentrated and supple. Good stuff! PWS
