Tasted from multiple barrels, the 2022 Côte Rôtie Ampodium will easily be an outstanding wine. All of the barrels had saturated purple hues, terrific purity, lots of both red and blue fruits, integrated oak, and ripe, polished tannins. At once fresh and deep with excellent precision, this is a wonderful Cote-Rotie that leaps across the palate. Stacks of fresh forest berries, delicate pepper and red roses. The fine tannins build beautifully in the long, vibrant finish. Excellent aging potential. A cuvee of syrah from more than 20 plots across the appellation. Drinkable now, but best from 2026.
