Tillie J Pinot Noir 2024SPECIAL VALUE - From two vineyards less than 1km away from one another in Gruyere on the Yarra Valley floor. One-third whole bunches and 10% new oak. A light, bright ruby red. Gently perfumed with aromas of crushed raspberry, cherry, flowers and spice. On the palate it feels like a tightly coiled spring that I have no doubt will slowly unfurl to become more complex and silkier over the next, say, two to six years. Another thoughtful, well-crafted wine from Tillie J. (95) PHILIP RICH, James Halliday's Wine Companion
Vibrant aromas of forest berries, sour cherries, dried spices and wild flowers. Medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins and bright acidity. So refined and elegant, yet intense, with lots of crunch and texture. Long, flavorful JAMES SUCKLING

Tillie J Chardonnay 2024SPECIAL VALUE - From a vineyard in Gruyere on the Valley floor. 10% new oak, and no mlf. A bright yellow green. Nicely poised with its aromas of white peach, flowers, lemon zest and light marine scents. Equally subtle on the well-balanced and very even palate, finishing tensile and long. It's terrific, even now, but will continue to blossom over the short to medium term. (95) PHILIP RICH, James Halliday's Wine Companion
This is such an enjoyable wine, not least for one that's so finely-wrought and understated. White peach, green apple, grapefruit, vanilla wafers, a little spice, fresh mint, with a distinct sea spray thing happening. It's cool and clean, lightly spiced, crisp with apple and grapefruit, a fine dustiness to texture, a little bit juicy too, with a zesty finish of excellent length. Lovely. Highly recommended. A bright chardonnay with sliced apples, spiced pears and wild herbs on the nose. Medium-bodied with fresh acidity. Full of verve, with plenty of volume and a flavorful, persistent finish. JAMES SUCKLING
