The 2023 Etna Rosso Passorosso is designed not as an entry wine but to represent the totality of what the vintage has to offer. It opens with pretty and mineral-driven notes of dusty earth, savory, peppery spice, ripe raspberries, and orange. The nose reveals crisp red berries - strawberry, raspberry, redcurrant -herbs, smoke and a subtle minerality of stone and ash. The elegance on the palate is reminiscent of Burgundian Pinot Noir: bright fruit, firm structure, fine-grained tannins and a lively acidity that carries the wine.
