It opens with intense aromas of ripe dark-skinned berry, star anise, violet and new leather. Showing its Serralunga roots, the structured, full-bodied palate features a backbone of firm, fine-grained tannins that support ripe red cherry, cranberry, star anise and mocha before a cool, mentholated finish. Hailing from a vineyard the family purchased in 2018 where the previous owner had planted different clones of Nebbiolo including the Rosé variety, it's intense and fragrant, opening with heady scents of rose, iris, cake spice and menthol. Full-bodied but boasting a weightless concentration, the enveloping, delicious palate doles out raspberry compote, ripe Morello cherry, licorice and vanilla before a minty close. A super-fresh and elegant Barolo with leafy lightness, red currants, watermelon, licorice and a touch of sweet violets on the nose.
