OUTSTANDING - A more elegant and airier nose is comprised by a lovely range of red berries, anise and a floral top note. The precise and punchy flavors are not especially dense though I like the texture that carries over to the lightly stony, youthfully austere and persistent finish where a hint of wood surfaces. This is on the lighter side but it's refined and very Chambolle in character. Worth a look. BURGHOUND

This is also aromatically attractive with its array of the essence of red currant, earth and a suggestion of the sauvage. The round, generously proportioned and supple flavors possess solid vibrancy though there is a mild touch of asperity on the otherwise nicely long finish. BURGHOUND

A pretty, and very pinot-like, nose reflects notes of mostly red berry and a discreet touch of earth which is picked up by the supple, round a delicious flavors that conclude in a lightly rustic bitter pit fruit-inflected finish. BURGHOUND

A whiff of herbal tea character lurks in the background of the cool red currant and discreet earth nuances that are picked up by the lighter weight but vibrant and attractively textured flavors that display acceptable depth and persistence. An all but imperceptible application of wood is present on the layered aromas of red and blue pinot fruit, spice and a very subtle hint of newly turned earth. There is good vibrancy to the lighter weight, detailed and light stony flavors that conclude in a lightly austere bitter pit fruit-inflected finish. This is also fairly light yet delivers good flavor authority. BURGHOUND

A distinctly cool nose is comprised by notes of mostly wild red berries, freshly turned earth and plenty of forest floor character. On the palate, the delicious, detailed and highly energetic flavors aren't particularly concentrated but they do offer even more apparent minerality on the balanced finale that is a bit more complex. This should drink well on the early side, especially for a LSJ. BURGHOUND

The delicious and slightly more voluminous, though still not especially dense, flavors do possess a lovely sense of vibrancy that also suffuses the more complex and longer finish. This too is a bit light for Millandes but I like the overall sense of balance. BURGHOUND
