  1. Gerard Raphet Bourgogne Rouge 2022
    Gerard Raphet Bourgogne Rouge 2022
A brighter and more pinot nose of mostly red berry fruit is a bit more elegant. The succulent, plump and delicious middleweight flavors also possess good energy as well as touches of austerity and rusticity. BURGHOUND

  2. Gerard Raphet Gevrey Chambertin 2022
    Gerard Raphet Gevrey Chambertin 2022
This is a bright, juicy and red-fruited village Gevrey-Chambertin. Raphet uses 10% new oak across their village wines and it’s integrated well here, barely noticeable at all. Alongside the cherry and raspberry fruit, there is the scent of florals with a minerality and savoury note that fills the finish. BURGHOUND

  3. Gerard Raphet Morey St Denis 2022
Gerard Raphet Morey St Denis 2022
An appealingly fresh nose also freely offers up its aromas of the essence of red pinot fruit along with discreet spice wisps, especially anise. Once again the mouthfeel of the middleweight flavors is succulent and fleshy and while not super-dense, I like the sense of energy that carries through to the balanced and inviting finish... 4. Gerard Raphet Clos de la Roche 2022
Gerard Raphet Clos de la Roche 2022
An exceptionally pretty, even perfumed, nose wafts from the glass while revealing notes of plum, red currant and a hint of exotic tea. The plump, round and delicious larger-bodied flavors are almost easy-going on the mid-palate yet the balanced and lingering finish tighten up sufficiently to strongly suggest that at least a decade will be necessary to resolve the supporting structure. Which, in its fashion, is just as well as this could use more depth anyway. BURGHOUND

  5. Gerard Raphet Clos Vougeot 2022
    Gerard Raphet Clos Vougeot 2022

Here too there is enough wood to remark upon framing the mix of red and blue pinot fruit, earth and a hint of humus character. Once again there is very good mid-palate density to the suave and seductively textured medium weight plus flavors that conclude in the classic youthful austerity of a typical Clos de Vougeot. Gerard Raphet Clos Vougeot VV 2022
More discreet wood sets off the ultra-fresh nose of various red berries, spice, newly turned earth and a similar hint of humus character. The old vines are in evidence on succulent and tension-filled medium-bodied flavors that possess plenty of sappy dry extract that completely buffers the slightly firmer tannins shaping the lingering and firmly austere finale. Patience advised. BURGHOUND
