The appellation wine and calling card of the house, the 2023 Chardonnay Wester Reach is fresh on the nose, with notes of light flint, lime zest, bright flowers, white pepper, and green apples. It has a compact feel but with electric energy and a fantastic oily citrus texture on the finish. It’s a blend from five vineyards and was aged for 12 months in 20% new oak barrels. Drink 2025-2035. The 2023 Chardonnay DuMOL Estate Vineyard is elegant, lifted and classy. Floral overtones and bright, citrus-driven fruit are so alive. Time in the glass brings out the wine's textural richness and resonance. The 2023 is impeccable. (96) ANTONIO GALLONI

The higher elevation cousin to the Bressay, the 2023 Chardonnay DuMol Estate comes from a two-acre section of the vineyard planted to the Mt. Eden clone of Chardonnay. From this protected, tree-shaded site with high-density spacing (which ripens about a week later), the wine displays a bright yellow color and offers a wonderful, focused drive on the nose, with notes of fresh ginger, fresh apples, lime, and saline. It has a compact core with good density, although it ultimately showcases its more cool-vintage character with its vibrant energy and persistent length. Drink 2025-2037. (97) JEB DUNNUCK

Laser-focused on citrus flavors and offering brilliant, bracing acidity that makes it feel so linear and fresh. Lemon zest, lime curd and a bit of green apple freshness, then chalky minerals and white pepper as you keep sipping. An amazingly fresh wine with a low pH more likely in a German riesling. The 2023 Pinot Noir Finn strikes an attractive middle ground in this range. Blood orange, cinnamon, mint and red/purplish-toned fruit are beautifully woven together. Brisk acids are especially evident. Pliant and vibrant, with tons of energy, the Finn is another wine with an exceptionally bright future. (96) ANTONIO GALLONI

The ruby-hued 2023 Pinot Noir Finn comes two-thirds from sandy soils and one-third from clay soils. It has fantastic balance, with pristine notes of preserved cranberries, raspberries, fresh flowers, and wet stones. Medium-bodied, it floats on the palate with fine tannins that are well-defined, refreshing acidity, and a seamless feel all around. A beautiful wine with a chalky mineral texture and a long, floating finish, it’s always a pleasure to taste this cuvée, and this vintage is no exception. Drink 2026-2046. (99) JEB DUNNUCK

Power and richness come with grace and balance in this top-tier wine from Dumol. So drenched in berries and dark cherries, then backed by vivid tannins and brilliant acidity on a ripe-tasting but tangy palate. Forest floor, black tea, bay leaves, cloves and cedar.
