Domaine Ott Clos Mireille Coeur de Grain Rose 2023From one of the three Ott estates, with vineyards running down to the beach and cooled by maritime winds comes this palest of pale rosés. Starting delicately, before opening out to notes of orange, perfumed citrus, crunchy red berries, a taut, briney elegance and salted peaches. The saline minerality jostles with pretty but intense concentration and jubilant acidity. Perfumed, juicy and mouthwatering freshness with lovely varietal expression from this blend of Grenache, Cinsault and Rolle. DECANTER
Slick, beautifully composed, uber fresh and buoyant, the kind of wine that slides across your palate, refreshing and enlivening as it washes your mouth with tart red fruit, ripe peach and a surge of rocky minerality. The tannins form a faint, plucky web of texture, faintly sandy in their presentation. They really bring this up to a level that is distinctly sophisticated, the interplay between those subtly grainy phenolics, the juicy and upbeat fruit, and the crisp acidity all combines to deliver an impeccably well balanced and thoroughly convincing Rose that's impossible not to love. One of the most pristine, crisp and detailed renditions of this genuine icon I can recall. ROSCOE
While the Romassan is all plushness and the de Selle is all drive, the 2024 Rosé Clos Mireille is all about fine delineation and precision. The core of fruit here is so pure. White cherry, white nectarine, apricot and Seville orange are all crystal clear. Everything about the 2024 speaks to pedigree, calibrated winemaking and finesse. The Clos Mireille is superb and uncompromising in its balance. Provence Rosé at its finest. BILLY NORRIS, Vinous Media

Domaine Ott Chateau Romassan 2023The 2023 Rosé Château Romassan captivates with a bouquet that mixes savory and sweet, as nuances of D'Anjou pear and lime zest combine with spring flowers, ginger and green melon. This is vividly fruit-focused within, with cooling acidity and silken textures, coming across as lifted and refined yet also potent. Its minerality shines through the finish, crisp, nearly crunchy and long with a spicy tinge that pinches at the palate. Complexity and shear depth make the Chateau Romassan impossible to ignore ERIC GUIDO, Vinous Media
This illustrates just how different the Mourvèdre-based rosés of this coastal appellation can be, in comparison to rosés from the rest of Provence. Delicately pale salmon pink. Restrained aromas of bruised peach, garrigue and barely ripe apricots. The Mourvèdre shines here with concentration, sour lemon acidity and creamy, ripe, sweet black fruit. There is fine-grained minerality leading to linear austerity and a mouthwatering finish. DECANTER
Mireille is my favourite Rose. Romassan is "better" this year. As is always the case here, Romassan is more everything. The colour is deeper, (both are pale but there just a little more to the hue of pink) the fruit more pronounced, a little softer and rounder in the mouth. It's a fulsome style of Rose. The tannins show up and play a larger role as well, a little more impact but equally finely tuned. That's the overall sense of this wine, finely tuned, impeccably poised with all the aspects laid out in just the right amounts. Its somewhat more pushy palate feel is cut with citrus like acidity, almost ruby grapefruit in the way it bursts on to your palate and slushes around, all youthful vigour and enthusiasm. Long, saline/briny, wildly refreshing finish that, seriously, makes you thirstier with every sip/large gulp. The finish has a final flurry of citrus zest and salt which leaves your tastebuds quivering with anticipation of the next sip. Rose doesn't get better than this. ROSCOEThe 2024 Rosé Château Romassan is a wine of supreme textural finesse and elegance. Beautifully weighted, broad and nearly opulent, yet in no way heavy, the 2024 drapes a blanket of floral-inflected orchard fruit across the tongue, coating every corner of the mouth through the long, focused finish. Rosewater, orange confit and a tickle of sea salt last well after the wine has exited the stage. This is such an intentional Rosé made with the highest level of craftsmanship. I wouldn't hesitate to age this Bandol for a few years to allow even further complexity to develop. Bravo. BILLY NORRIS, Vinous Media
