Duemani Cifra 2020The 2020 Cifra is a fabulous introduction to this range from Luca D'Attoma and Elena Celli. Freshly cut flowers, sweet red berry fruit, spice and mocha all grace this exquisite, mid-weight Cabernet Franc. ANTONIO GALLONI
Lots of gorgeous blackberry and blueberry character with round, caressing tannins, vivid acidity and freshness. Lots of bright fruit and very pure character. JAMES SUCKLING
Wonderfully mid weight, fragrant, perfumed, spiced, fruitful wine where the slightly gritty tannins tell a story that is both varietal and regional. As does the more savoury elements and those just slightly herbaceous notes that will make any Cab Franc fan smile and anyone who loves Crifra positively beam, that is the sales pitch here. This is a wine of pure pleasure, serious, yeah, but that isn't really important here. For me it is all about enjoyment with Crifra and if you love to eat and drink then this needs to be in your life. Drinking this with the right food will decrease your stress and stress is a killer, so, drinking Cifra will help you live longer. A veritable ambrosia. ROSCOE

Truchard Cabernet Sauvignon 2018This wine remains one of the finest values in the Napa Valley and a cool-climate example of the variety, to boot. With great opening aromas of blackberry, clove and dried herb, the lifted, balanced flavors follow suit, showing plenty of freshness and length around a well-integrated and elegant core. 93 Virginie Boone, Wine Enthusiast

Langmeil Jackaman's Cabernet Sauvignon 2020Certified Barossa Old Vine Charter – in the 'older than 35 years' category. Vines planted in the 1960s. Destemming, open fermentation, basket-pressed and two years in French oak. Screwcap.
Heavy bottle. Rich, ripe but slightly wild mulberry and blackcurrant fruit. Strong, herbal leafiness pressed through the luscious fruit but the wine comes with a core of bitter dark chocolate and vanilla-pod sweetness. Balsamic extraction and density with interesting szechuan lift through the end. Powerful and velvety and very big. JR

Victoria Ordonez Camarolos tinto 2018Wine has been part of Victoria Ordóñez’s life for as long as she can remember. Her father, José María Ordóñez, was a pioneer of the Spanish wine industry, distributing fine wines across the Province of Malaga since the ’50s. Although Victoria’s own professional career took off in a different direction – she studied to be a doctor and has a PhD in Medicine – in 2004 she decided to enter the wine business, initially combining it with her work as a health service administrator.
Victoria admits that she owes everything to the Austrian oenologist Alois Kracher, with whom she worked side by side making Málaga wines until his death in 2007. It was at this point that her career took a fresh turn as she decided to focus exclusively on what had become her passion – the world of wine.
Tasting: Bright red fruits, fennel, and other Mediterranean herbs, chocolate, and violet aromas. Maroon color and fine tannins lend a pleasing structure. Vibrant with red berries and spicy flavors, the wine is at once concentrated and fresh. Beautiful silkiness and great finesse with a very fresh finish.

Pago Dehesa del Carrizal Dehesa del carrizal Cabernet 2018Dehesa del Carrizal is a Vino de Pago, the highest category according to Spanish wine law. It is a DOP (Denominación de Origen Protegida – Protected Designation of Origin) reserved for those few wineries and vineyards which carry out the whole process from the grape to the bottle, within the limits of the Pago. The acid soils of the siliceous Mediterranean mountains, a humid climate and 800 meters of altitude create the perfect particular microclimate where 27 hectares of vineyards stands. Our vineyards lie on a raña, which is the local name for slopes and plains at the bottom of a mountain which have been eroded by water and rain and have therefore caused the accumulation of clay and quartz pebbles. The distinctive climate with a wide temperature range between night and day allows a slow and harmonious grape ripening. This way we are able to produce a wine with a clearly distinguishable terroir which stands out thanks to the dedicated craftsmanship of our workers. We add to this process a respect for the land and nature, and our commitment to a responsible, sustainable oenology. GRANDES PAGOS DE ESPANA
This wine couldn’t be more straight up and down Cabernet Sauvignon! A nose of pure, black fruit, tomato leaf and toasted cedar, with a palate that shows lashings of blackberry, cassis, green capsicum, fresh tobacco and leather. Full bodied but with perfectly balanced tannin and acidity. BARRICA WINES$66.00 -
Elderton Cabernet 20212021 was a vintage which really allowed the fruit to shine through. Healthy and happy vines allowed generous flavours to develop. The season was long and without rain interruption which meant we could achieve full ripeness in our Cabernet Sauvignon, both on the Barossa Valley floor and in Eden Valley. The fruit was fermented in a combination of open and closed fermenters. We used a closed fermenter for the Craneford fruit, permitting more time on skins in a less oxidative space. This allowed development of the tannin profile whilst also ensuring we held on to the leafy and red fruited aromatics. The Cabernet was then pressed from fermenter to a combination of new and seasoned French oak for malolactic fermentation and further maturation for the following year. We carefully blended the parcels from our two vineyards to achieve the best balance. - Jules Ashmead and Brock Harrison
