  1. Stoney Rise Pinot Noir 2024
    Stoney Rise Pinot Noir 2024

85% estate grown with 15% from growers. Now 100% estate grown! Tamar Valley.

Dark cherry, baked plums, spice, a little mint, with dried herbs and earth. It’s flavoursome, but kind of stony with fine graphite tannin, a subtle beetroot earthiness, empty chocolate box, some orange zest and amaro, with a cocoa and dry grainy finish of good length. It’s a darker and more forceful vintage of this wine, but it does have a fair bit of X-factor. GARY WALSH, The Wine Front

  2. Stoney Rise Trousseau 2023
    Stoney Rise Trousseau 2023

This is light and quite frisky, and I do like this style of wine. Strawberry, raspberry, some spice, plus a bit of savoury and kind of stony stuff, dried herbs, bright acidity, with a cranberry crunch, a little feathering of dry pumice stone tannin, sappy red fruits on a finish of freshness and lively tang. Very good. This is cleaner, and much improved over prior years, and feels like a true expression of the variety. Excellent. (95/100) GARY WALSH, The Wine Front

Bright ruby with vibrant redcurrant, red cherry and red apple with a beautiful struck flint complexity to its aromatic form. Spice, pressed wildflowers, turned earth, sous bois, crushed herbs and charcuterie. Lovely, spacious mouthfeel with crushed rock tannins and a lively, minerally cadence. Lovely stuff. 3. Utzinger White Label Pinot Noir 2024
Utzinger White Label Pinot Noir 2024

West Tamar fruit, hand-picked, 30% whole bunch as part of a carbonic maceration, cold soak before wild ferment, pressed before dryness into mainly old French oak barrels, unfined, unfiltered, screwcap.

Medium burgundy red.  Tar and warm spice on the nose with fresh cherry and strawberry fruit.  Some lifted red fruit aromatics with a bunchy undertone.  Subtle oak influence. Relatively soft attack, medium acidity, young chalky tannins which will soften quickly.  Medium to fuller bodied with a long finish.
