This estate is probably our favourite producer in New Zealand for Pinot Noir. A part of that is a personal preference for style but in large part it is because if we look back over the wines we have tasted over many years from NZ those of Helen Masters and her team nearly always feature in the top handful and often take the prize for our favourite example in any given vintage.

Their track record of excellence is nearly unrivaled in new world Pinot and certainly, they have only a couple of serious rivals in NZ. Helen's thoughtful and detailed winemaking approach has seen each vintage top the last in terms of quality and details across the board. More recently she has added a selection of single vineyard expressions to the stable of wines and these looks to be some of the most exciting releases from Ata Rangi yet.
