Chantereves Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes-de-Beaune Mainbey Blanc 2023Pale in colour, slight peach note, definitely sulphur-free style. There is more body here, a little wholemeal, saline and savoury, and long. JASPER MORRIS, Inside Burgundy
The Mainbey lieu-dit is located in Hautes Côtes de Beaune above Nuits-Saint-Georges and is the Domaine's biggest lieu-dit. It's divided into three parcels of Chardonnay and one of Aligoté. The high altitude (470 meters), old vines (40 years old) and stony soils combine to create a compact and coiled Chardonnay with complex aromatics and beautiful texture. Domaine.

Chantereves Bourgogne Aligoté Miarlons du Bas 2023Immediately in the presence of nobility. The flesh is perfectly balanced throughout with a discreet reduction becoming evident. A happy marriage of apple and citrus, with a very long tingling finish. JASPER MORRIS, Inside Burgundy
Miarlons du Bas is perched between the lieux-dits of Les Monts de Fussey and Mainbey. The vines are as old as those in Mainbey?40 years?and are the Estate's only old Aligoté vines on a steep slope. While lower in altitude than Mainbey or Bas des Ees, the grapes retain low sugar levels even at the peak of physiological ripeness. Permanent cover crops live between the rows, and mechanisation is kept to the bare minimum to avoid soil compaction.2023France358$160.00 As low as $144.00 -
Chantereves Savigny-lès-Beaune Dessus de Montchenevoy 2023Much more in the strawberry style with an attractive wildness. Despite the large crop at 55/60 hl/ha, this comes across with excellent density. Fresh acidity behind, very lively. JASPER MORRIS, Inside Burgundy
Dessus de Montchenevoy is above the famed Savigny 1er Cru Aux Guettes. It's a west-facing site on white soils that sits at 340 meters and is surrounded by forests. The altitude and cool air from the forest moderate the climate, resulting in slow ripening and flavour development, while the white, stony soils provide raciness and minerality. The plot is now organically farmed and ploughed by draught horse. Domaine.

Chantereves Bourgogne Aligote Mainbey 2023The 2023 Bourgogne Aligoté, for me, is the strongest cuvée from Chanterêves. It translates the variety with style, delivering hints of brioche and grilled hazelnuts on the nose. The palate has an irresistible creamy texture that is neatly countered by the acidity. There is commendable purity to this Aligoté. It should offer several years of drinking pleasure. NEAL MARTIN, Vinous
This is the most concentrated to date, evidently aligoté with concentrated baked apple as well as a herbal note. Fresh citrus minerality at the back, with a particularly satisfying finish. JASPER MORRIS, Inside Burgundy
Mainbey is located on the side of a small valley across from the village of Fussey, at an altitude of 470 meters. This low-yielding plot is one of the oldest of the Estate?41 years old. Tomoko explains, "This is our stoniest plot of Aligoté. We have lost count of the times Guillaume, and I had to collect huge pieces of limestone rock, so that we can use the caterpillar tractor without damaging the machine.

Chantereves Bourgogne Rouge Champs Pommiers 2023Lively fresh purple with a touch volatile that barely affects the quality of the wine. Marvellous energy on the nose, raspberry strawberry, a fine backbone, generous and dancing at the same time. Very long finish. More structure than many. JASPER MORRIS, Inside Burgundy
The Bourgogne Rouge Champs Pommiers is one of Chanterêves' newcomers this vintage. It's drawn from an organically farmed parcel of 45-year-old vines in Ladoix-Serrigny. Negocé

Chantereves Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Chaignots 2023A delicious weight of fruit, red berries with some plums as well, then a lovely spicy and peppery finish, but nonetheless the bones are covered in smooth red fruit. JASPER MORRIS, Inside Burgundy
Aux Chaignots is situated directly under the gravelly Les Damodes on the hillside, and the soils are equally stony, with plenty of fine gravel washed down by in the past by the little river Meuzin. Much like the Domaine's Les Damodes, it's a wine that showcases the elegant, 'Vosne' side of the Nuits-St-Georges spectrum. The vines were planted in the 1990s. Negocé.

Chantereves Chorey-les-Beaune Les Champs Longs 2023An excellent deep purple. Brilliant ripe but distinguished red fruit. Much more tension, even some depth to the fruit, with a long, distinguished finish. JASPER MORRIS, Inside Burgundy
Champs Longs is one of the most reputed sites in Chorey-lès-Beaune. The alluvial soil mixed with limestone rock allows for good water retention and drainage. Chanterêves' Chorey, Savigny and Aligoté Chagniots vineyards are all high trained (180cm) and tilled by horse. Domaine.

Chantereves Bourgogne Blanc 2023Tomoko and Guillaume source most of the fruit (66%) for their Bourgogne Blanc from Maranges in the Côte de Beaune. The balance is from a site at the southern tip of Beaujolais (near Lyon), Les Pierres Dorées. The soil here is comparable to that of Chassagne-Montrachet in that it contains a high content of Bajocian limestone. Negocé2023chardonnayFrance358$120.00 As low as $108.00
