Details

The 2022 Charmes-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes Grand Cru has a delineated, very focused bouquet of animated red fruit laced with crushed stone and oyster shell aromas. The palate is very well-balanced with finely sculpted tannins. It is quite saline in the mouth, harmonious with a sleek, sensual finish. Afford this Grand Cru several years in bottle. Mid crimson purple. The nose speaks immediately of Charmes-Chambertin, that strawberries and cream version. Very intense, now with some fresh raspberries and a little pepper, supple more than subtle, but absolutely gorgeous. (96) JASPER MORRIS MW
