A super-fresh nose is comprised by notes of just sliced apple and pear trimmed in evident citrus nuances where the latter can be found on the racy, delicious and appealingly textured flavors that have unusually good depth and persistence for a regional wine. One to consider. BURGHOUND
Also on the leaner side but with a wealth of fruit behind. Stone fruit energy, compact, phenolic notes, just what Thierry is looking for, as am I. There is a slight final bitterness which will play out as complexity, as the wine ages JASPER MORRIS MW
The 2023 Bourgogne Chardonnay has a taut, mineral bouquet that bursts from the glass. The palate is well balanced with a citrus entry, then quite malic in style with a bright and refined finish. NEAL MARTIN
Pillot's 2023 Bourgogne Blanc is lovely, bursting with aromas of white flowers and ripe apples, followed by a medium to full-bodied, fleshy palate built around chalky extract and concluding with a saline finish. WILLIAM KELLEY
