Details

Orchard Vineyard. A 30-year-old site overlooking Western Port Bay, only one acre of it planted to Chardonnay. No new oak. Full malo. Two barrels produced.

Ripe lemon, preserved lemon, some richer stone fruit, fennel perfume, a light smoky/flinty edge. It’s tight, distinctly saline, mixed citrus, a fine powdery grip, some umami character and nut butter flavours, but also has such energy and personality that it stands out from the pack.
