The 2007 Barolo Rocche dell-Annunziata is texturally elegant and polished in its silky tannins, yet doesn't seem to have the depth or density of the finest wines in this lineup. It is an unusually closed wine for the vintage, and may merit a higher score somewhere down the line. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024. ANTONIO GALLONI
