The Mauro Veglio 2021 Gattera is another knock-out new release from this excellent estate. It opens with heady aromas of mature woodland berry, fragrant purple flower, exotic dark spice and a whiff of eucalyptus while the delicious, elegantly structured palate features ripe black cherry, raspberry compote, vanilla and licorice. Hailing from estate grapes in La Morra, it’s a great expression of the site and of the vintage. (96)
