The 2021 Barolo del Comune di La Morra is a pretty, gracious Barolo that captures all the charm of La Morra in its aromatic profile and mid-weight structure. Crushed flowers, sweet dried red cherry fruit, mint and white pepper lend notable presence. Classically firm yet polished tannins extend the understated finish nicely. ANTONIO GALLONI, Vinous
A lovely rendition of La Morra playing to the commune’s graceful strengths, the 2021 leads with gorgeous transparency of rose, raspberry and haunting truffle. It is medium in weight and replete with sumptuous summer berries. Earthy minerals and pressed violet nuances are stowed within. Fine, powdery tannins stretch across the palate giving a seductive suede-like texture. A smart and intriguing wine, it achieves its goal of early accessibility – however, I’d be willing to bet on this for another 12 years if properly stored. DECANTER
