Wow! This just burst from the glass with cranberry, rasberry and sour cherry fruit laced with violet and clove spice while an undertow of savoury complexity, charry earthy notes and underbrush lend intrigue and interest. The palate is lithe and fresh on entry with sweet and sour plum, red and black cherry taking the lead as they are slowly taken over by the scents of sous bois and earthy minerality. Such a great wine that is at once easy-going and immensely enjoyable, backed by a subtle, earthy complexity. He nailed it again this year.
