    Established by Salvatore Pala in 1950, today, sixty years later Mario Pala represents the third generation of the family to run this famous estate. Based in Sardinia, the vineyards of Azienda Agricola Pala are divided into five separate holdings according to their different terroirs. 

    This is a bit of a modern take on Sardinian wines with a bit of extra vibrancy and freshness that you don't always catch from the region. A blend of mainly carignan and a touch of locally grown monica. White pepper spice and a quartyz thing going on here with crushed raspberry and strawberry leaping out of the glass. There is a lovely warmth to the fruit, sweet and ripe with a buzz of snappy tannin and lick of fresh acidity. It's plush and crisp with a gentle grip.  MYLES, PWS
