Domaine Alzipratu Cuvee Fiumeseccu Rouge 2021The grapes are grown in 4 different parcels and the vines are aged between 10 and 30 years. Blend: 45% Niellucciu, 30% Sciacarellu, 15% Elegante (Grenache) and 10% Syrah.
Winemaking: The grapes are fully de-stemmed and wild fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks with 8 to 12 days of maceration. The wine is bottled young and fresh.
Tasting note: The Fiumeseccu Rouge is pale cherry in colour. Very distinctive in style, dominated by fruity (pomegrante) aromas which evolve towards notes of pepper and spice on the finish. Quince, honeyed minerality, toasted spice, and green almond-like nuances all define the nose, and its more Hermitage Blanc than Saint Joseph Blanc with its medium to full-bodied richness, gorgeous overall balance, and incredible length.
