Light straw-yellow; reserved aromas of straw/hay and tealeaf, nougat later, and pleasant more fruit-driven flavour, attractive, tight and refreshingly dry. Slightly biscuity oak. Reserved, possibly still a bit in its shell and needing more time, but has the makings of a very smart chardonnay. HUON HOOKE, therealreview.com

Yields were way down in '22; thankfully, the wines are generally very good to excellent, this in the latter camp. Pristine flavours comprising white peach and lemon, lightly spiced and offset by fluffy, creamy lees. The palate is superfine, the oak superbly integrated and the finish absurdly long and fabulous.
