Tasmania’s northwest is often overlooked on the tourist trail but very worthy for those who like things in bottles and nice food on plates. It’s bucolic too. And good walking, driving, sites and sounds. Ghost Rock in the mix of that.
A glossy chardonnay, distinct for its nectarine and peach fruit characters, rockmelon, honey butter in a light sheen over it all, a bit of clotted cream and cinnamon. It fits together well, feels mellow and pleasing, ticks plenty of boxes for varietal description and has a distinct ‘Tasmanian feel’ overall. An easy thing to get stuck into.
