With 110 grams per liter of residual sugar, Chidaine's 2020 Rive Gauche wafts from the glass with aromas of quince, spices, white fruits and ripe orchard fruits mingled with delicate notes of exotic fruits. Full-bodied, enveloping and dense, it's concentrated with a perfectly balanced mid-palate, bright acids and a long, spicy and endless finish. This is a real success. (96) YOHAN CASTAING, wineadvocate.com
The 2020 Rive Gauche is a seductive and attractive sweet wine. It is produced from fully botrytised fruit, hailing from three different parcels in Montlouis, and remains remarkably light on its feet despite its richness. While it is far too young, it has delightful componentry that will keep this evolving gracefully for at least two decades - and the rest. (95) REBECCA GIBB, vinous.com
