Aromas of dark berries, orange zest, smoke and cloves introduce Faiveley's 2023 Mercurey La Framboisière, a medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy wine that's succulent and charming, with good depth at the core and a fruity finish. As ever, it represents a terrific value. WILLIAM KELLEY, Wine Advocate

WORTH A SPECIAL SEARCH - Volume and energy to this nose, faintly spiced. In the mouth, this is lithe and mobile - beautifully textured - and there's a small kick of creamy oak in the finishing flavours. Keep it at least 2 years for the oak to fade - but this radiates its finishing flavour wider and wider - very persistent if largely barrel-derived finishing flavour today. It will be excellent for sure - maybe even a great Framboisière… BILL NANSON, Burgundy Report

TOP VALUE - A ripe and very fresh nose speaks of crushed cherry, dark raspberry and a spicy top note. The vibrant and delicious middleweight flavors possess good volume, indeed the word fleshy comes to mind, all wrapped in a clean, dry-in-the-best sense, and lingering finish. This is already drinking well though it has the density to repay mid-term keeping. This is one to look for as it offers fine value. BURGHOUND
