Peter Dredge is the very model of a modern major winemaker. Classically trained, technically strong, he has the solid foundations required to push things, as he punningly promises on the label, to the edge. Without disciplined fruit sourcing, the commitment to keeping multiple parcels separate in fermentation and the skill to blend them in such a way it seems they just naturally coalesced, a wine of this kind of wild beauty could go very wrong.
