Beyond the hill of Corton – almost Hautes Côtes.
Great example of Bourgogne from this Pernand domaine. Lovely crisp, bright, crunchy fruit. Great purity but there is also a freshness and acidity which makes you want to drink more. Ultra-fresh aromas of red pinot fruit, spice and more discreet earth nuances lead to equally delicious and more finely textured middleweight flavors that possess notably better volume on the better balanced and sneaky long finish. This is quite good for what it is and worth checking out. BURGHOUND
Hmm – that’s a beautiful nose – very perfumed. Fine, open, easy but deliciously complete. Too – a Bourgogne of real finesse. Top! BILL NANSON
