Details

30% new oak. 100% whole bunch. Vineyard tucked in a corner neighbouring both Clos de Vougeot and Grands Échezeaux. Cask sample.

Mid crimson. Already interesting and agreeable on the nose. Juicy and round with trademark pace. The fruit nicely swallows the oak here and it seems today as though you could almost drink this sharply delineated wine now! Quite a charmer. Bitter-cherry finish. Persistent. Quite a star from the southern reaches of the village. JANCIS ROBINSON
