No new oak. 30% whole bunch. Racked cask sample.
Pretty nose. Lots of refined fruit. Very Beaune, handcrafted Beaune. Nicolas' mother would be extremely proud. Juicy and refined. In a burgundy premier cru 2023 context, GV. JANCIS ROBINSON

This salute to Nicolas's Mum has become a bit of a favourite for staff and customers alike. The blend of five Beaune 1er Cru vineyards and we've always thought the blend made this so much more intriguing than the individual crus. The 2023 is another lovely rendition. Red fruited with a sanguine edge but also some red petal florals. Intriguing really and a little nebbiolo in a way. The palate is bright, nicely juicy and full of red fruits and flowers. The tanni s are so beautifully subsumed into this wine but they chug along underneath the mid-weight fruit giving the wine lovely energy. It has the potential to age, more than some others in the range. MICHAEL MCNAMARA
